The Tennessee Little Britches Rodeo Assocation (TLBRA) is a sanctioned chapter of the National Little Britches Rodeo Association (NLBRA)- the oldest youth rodeo association in the country. The goal of the TLBRA is to provide locally sanctioned Little Britches Rodeos for the youth (ages 5-18) of Tennessee and surrounding areas to be able to qualify and compete at the National Little Britches Rodeo finals in Pueblo, CO. Contestants at the NLBRA Finals are eligible for many awards including scholarships. TLBRA is a non-profit venture working to develop character, self-reliance, good sportsmanship and encouragement through competition in the great sport of rodeo.
The NLBRA season begins August 1st of each year and ends with the National Finals in July of the following year. Each rodeo has over 10 exciting events including bull riding, barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, team roping and more. With so many events offered, there is something for everyone to enjoy. To qualify for the finals, a contestant need only place in the top seven of their event at four individual rodeos. TLBRA is happy to be offering six rodeo for the 2014 season beginning with our November 2 & 3, 2013 rodeos. Please visit our events page for more information on the events offered and the fees in each division.
This year we are partnering with some great volunteers, sponsors and stock contractors to bring this wonderful program to Tennessee and give our youth the chance to compete at the national level in their age division. There are five age divisions available and they are as follows:
Little Wranglers ages 5 to 7
TLBRA is possible because of your support and the support of generous sponsors like Barnfly Farms and Events, Boot Barn, Espana Silk, W Bar T Bucking Bulls, Hedrick Rodeo, Monsoon Silver and IBEW Local 429.
