Good Luck Cowgirls and Cowboys!!

TLBRA 2008 Rules

1. NO REFUNDS.  Pre-entries are Cashiers Check or Money Orders only.  NO personal checks.  CASH ONLY at shows.  No exceptions please.

2.  Dress Code:  Long sleeve shirts (collar optional).  Long pants.  Boots.  Hat.  Shirt must be tucked in upon entering alleyway.  Being out of dress code will result in a NT.

3.  Hat fines:  $10 Hat fine.

4.  No switching horse/rider combinations draw positions.  Doing so will result in a NT.

5.  All re-runs will be the decisions of the Show Directors.  Decisions are final.

6.  In the case of a timer mal-function, or any other reason the runners time was not clocked, will result in a re-run.

7.  A horse may enter the race only once.

8.  The Open Jackpot is on a sliding payscale.  The incentive jackpots are equal payback in each division.

9.  Pre-entries will run first.  Late entries will be added at the end of the pre-entries each day.  All 2 or 3 day shows will have seperate draws each day.

10.  Books will stay open until the last 50 runners for the day.

11.  5-D barrel races will be 1/2 second splits all the way.  3-D and 4-D incentive splits will be per NBHA rules.

12.  Youth(18 & under), Adult(19-45), and Senior(46 & older) incentive jackpots will be offered.  A seperate jackpot will not be run for these classes.  Your Open time will be your declared Incentive time.  Incentive age date cut-offs will be specified separately for each barrel race.  The dates should appear on the entry blanks.

13.  No-Time Insurance incentive jackpot:  This is your "would have been" time if you hadn't knocked down barrels.  We will take your "would have been time" and figure a seperate jackpot for those entries who have paid the Insurance entry fee.  1-40 Insurance entries will payout in a 3-D jackpot.  41-60 Insurance entries will payout in a 4-D jackpot.  61 & over Insurance entries will payout in a 5-D jackpot.       A Broken pattern does not qualify for the No-Time Insurance.

14.  Some of our shows will be either Webcast live or televised at a later date.  If this is a problem for you, please inform us in writing at least 1 week prior to the show.

15.  Circling a barrel more than once during your competition run will result in a $10 fine.  The fine must be paid before your next run.

16.  Exhibition runs should be kept under 60 seconds.  If your exhibition goes over 60 seconds you will be charged an addition exhibition fee of $5 which must be paid before you run in competition.

17.  3 gate calls will be given with 15 seconds between each call.  After the 3rd gate call, contestant has 60 seconds to cross the timer.  If contestant doesn't cross the timer in the alloted time, a No-Time will be given.

***As we come across areas that need to be clarified, we will either list is as a new rule or clarify the above rules even more.   We are trying to keep this as simple as possible to keep the barrel race fun, yet fair.   Thank you for your patience as we grow.
